Considerations for law enforcement agencies within Diversity Issues

This course offers a description and understanding of what Racial Profiling, Bias based Policing and Carding entails with law enforcement. It defines and addresses the issues officers, special constables have when addressing their own bias and their ability to investigate and enforce the law within lawful perimeters and not based on misconceptions

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Define and recognize what Racial Profiling/Bias Based Policing and Carding are
  2. Understand the legal requirements for investigation and information gathering and what is required by law.
  3. Re-enforce officer education and skill development when addressing diverse issues.
