Jim Bremner

James Bremner is a highly experienced tactical law-enforcement professional and senior instructor with nearly four decades of service with the Toronto Police Service, including extensive leadership roles within Emergency Task Force, Explosive Disposal, CBRNE, and Use of Force training. He most recently served as Senior Instructor with the Explosive Disposal Unit, following prior appointments as Chief Instructor at the Toronto Police College and Tactical Training Officer supporting specialized units across Canada and internationally. His operational background includes over 1,000 special weapons deployments, more than 100 explosive-related responses, and deep expertise in hostage rescue, high-risk entries, firearms analysis, breaching, dignitary protection, and CBRNE operations.

James brings unparalleled instructional depth, having trained police, military, corrections, and protective services globally, including the RCMP, OPP, Turkish National Police, nuclear facilities, and multiple Canadian tactical teams. He is certified across firearms, explosives, less-lethal systems, robotics, CBRN response, and critical incident stress management, and has served extensively as an expert witness, technical advisor, keynote speaker, and curriculum developer. His consulting work today draws on decades of frontline operations, instructor development, and program leadership to deliver realistic, evidence-based training in tactical response, officer safety, explosives awareness, firearms, and critical incident resilience
