Proactive Solutions for Proactive Leaders
The current COVID-19 pandemic has caused increased demands and stress within our health care system. As Health Care Professionals (HPCs) retire or find careers in different fields due to the high demands in practice, HPCs are needed more than ever before at the bedside. This course is designed to provide the confidence and tools required to make evidence-informed decisions on how to recognize and respond to vulnerable patient populations while keeping up with the high demands in the healthcare setting.
Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
Tina Parassakis is an outreach Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with the Freeman Centre for the Advancement of Palliative Care at North York General since 2015. Within her role, Tina provides support to homebound patients, and provides clinical bedside training to medical clerks and nursing students within the community. Tina also has experience working as a nurse at Dorothy Ley Hospice and Toronto Grace Palliative Care Unit. She is currently completing her Nurse Practitioner (NP) at University of Toronto and is a member Nursing Honour Society Sigma Theta Tau.
